The Victorian Autumn School Holidays run from April 6 – 22. If you’re looking for ideas on how to spend the autumn break, there’s plenty to choose from. Take a look at some of the best activities for your kids in and around Melbourne.

Dino Explorers at Werribee

Kids who love dinosaurs are in for a treat with Zoorassic at Werribee Open Range Zoo.

Children aged 5 and above can join the Dinosaur Rangers in a guided expedition which begins at the Zoorassic gates. Kids get to collect their own Dino Explorer badge and checklist before setting out to look for clues that will lead them to the dinosaurs.

Dino Explorers will run for 60 minutes from 6 April to 14 July, at 10.45am, 12.00pm and 1.30pm on weekends and school holidays.

ANZ Hot Shots Tennis Camps

Does your child love tennis or simply want to get active this April? The ANZ Hot Shots Tennis Camps is the best outlet. All participants are welcome, regardless of their tennis experience, to participate in a variety of activities and games. They will get to learn from qualified Tennis World coaches and improve their tennis skills while meeting new friends along the way.

The camps run from 8 April to 18 April at Entrance D, Olympic Boulevard, Batman Avenue, Melbourne.

State Library Victoria’s Story Camp

For kids who are into literature and writing, a golden opportunity awaits at Story Camp, a school holiday program organised by the State Library Victoria in partnership with Express Media. The Story Camp gives participants a chance to meet and learn from some of the most exciting and inspiring storytellers in Australia.

The workshop will be held on 8 April and 10 April at Wheeler Centre, 176 Little Lonsdale Street. It’s a free school holiday activity for 12 to 15-year-olds.
