Savvy First Home Buyers Making the Most of Government Incentives
The raft of government incentives currently available to first home buyers is enticing many to make their first foray into the property market.
Despite the current climate, first home buyer activity has seemingly increased in Victoria, spurred on by additional government support and generous developer incentives. While now might not be the time for every buyer to jump into the property market, these enticing incentives offer a great opportunity to those savvy first home buyers who are ready to make the leap!
To start, Victorian first home buyers pay no stamp duty on homes priced at $600,000 or less and a reduced fee on properties priced between $600,000 and $750,000. Not to mention they may also be eligible for the $10,000 First Home Owner Grant when buying or building their first new home.
And that’s not all! Buyers looking to build their dream home at Bowery can save an additional $20K off all lots in the community! Throw in the recently announced HomeBuilder program that will deliver grants of $25,000 to eligible parties building a new home, and it’s no surprise there’s good activity in this sector.
